Spot’s asked me to take write anything down that he didn’t cover in his blog post, because I could see more of what was going on…

I have to say, his post covered the majority of what was going on during the parade, but there were a few observations that I did spot.

Firstly, the group in front of us during the parada this year, from the Royal Bank of Canada, were definitely more friendly and pleasurable to follow than last years… no annoying music, and they spoke to us etc. during the walk. The other thing that Spot possibly didn’t realise was the crowds – there were fantastic numbers lining the streets, watching and cheering all the groups as they went past.

There were a couple of memorable moments throughout the walk… as Spot mentioned, he had a bit of a competition with a dog. The small dog did seem rather put out by having a large pup barking back at him and kept cowering away – we saw him more during the parade, and each time – he still did it!

Another incident was when we were walking down towards Picadilly Circus and there was a rather serious looking Police Women standing at the side of the road (she must have been VERY warm given her uniform!) and as the group of pups approached – a large smile appeared on her face 🙂

The last thing that stands out is the fact that members of the crowd were quite surprised by the volume and realism behind Spot’s bark… at least I got peace at the end of the night as he could hardly talk 🙂

Finding the sign when we were wandering to Soho was fantastic – it’s something we’ve often talked about doing, and it’s the first chance we’ve had to do something like that. Now we’ll maybe start doing photos outside Pound Lane etc. 🙂 Wandering through Soho was busy, but lots of people kept stopping to get their pictures taken which meant it was a slow progress, but also nice to see…

It was a fantastic day out, hopefully everyone enjoyed it and we put a smile on their faces 😀

From chatting to some of the various pups that I know (primarily Pup Gizmo) I was told about the plans to be walking around the Birmingham Pride site dressed up as Rubber Puppies. As I was invited along, and I had the time off work, my owner and I decided it was a worthwhile idea to go and join in the fun 🙂

We had originally intended to join them to watch the pride parade, but unfortunately, things got in the way of being able to leave the house on time, so we left late. We were then further delayed when we tried to find a parking space in Birmingham… but we eventually got lucky when exiting the car park that someone else decided it was time to go too! We got parked up, and my owner went to pay the fees while I got changed in to the Zentai outfit… we then hit another snag – the car park closed at 9PM so we wouldn’t be able to stay the whole night 🙁

We went off to find the entrance to the pride village, where we could exchange our e-tickets for wrist bands… and we hit another snag! With the paws on, I couldn’t wear the wrist band, as I wouldn’t be able to get the paws off if I needed the toilet or anything 🙁 Resourcefulness struck though, and I attached the wrist band to my harness, meaning it was on display *wags*. After getting in to the village, we set about trying to find the other puppies, who had managed to get a head start on us.

Thankfully, a group of pups in rubber are quite easy to spot, and I went bounding after them as we found them. It turned out the group of pups was: Gizmo, Fuga, Statik, Cosmo, Tyler and Kass (apologies if I’ve forgotten someone!). We then spent the next hour or so wandering around pride, and being stopped and asked for photos.

After wandering around, those in rubber started getting warm, so we headed back to their hotel and then those of us not getting changed, or staying at the hotel, ended up heading back to the pride village for a drink.

As we wandered around the village, I found a poster which I just had to take a picture next to – advertising a dog show. Unfortunately, it was taking place on the Sunday, so I wasn’t able to go along, or be entered in to it.

After wandering around, we headed back to a pub which was outside the pride village to meet up with Gizmo and the others to have a drink and a chat. At the end of this, my owner and I decided we best make a move to the car park… but first, we had to go to the Fairground so that Spot could go on the rides fully! There’s a video of this embedded at the bottom of this post, beyond the gallery.

In the end, although we couldn’t stay the full time, my owner and I were happy and enjoyed a fantastic day out and fantastic company 🙂

This Sunday sees the Birmingham Bizarre Bazaar taking place in Birmingham, and it’s the annual fashion show for the demo this month.

This year, I’ve been invited to take part in the fashion show with my friends at E-Stim Systems. I’m looking forward to taking part and having a good time (as long as the weather is kind!) – Though I get a feeling I might be in for a bit of a shock 😉 🙂

The BBB is open from 11am until 5pm, and the demo takes place on the Ground Floor at 1.30pm.

If you see me there, do feel free to say hello!

P.S. I’ve participated in the Fashion Show at the BBB before, back in 2011 and this can be seen by reading the blog post BBB Fashion Show

*Wuffs* to all my followers, readers and fellow pups … HAPPY 2013 to you all!

Now, you may be wondering what mischievous things this pup got up to on New Years Eve going into New Years Day ……

Well …… I’m going to disappoint …… Nothing happened – this puppy has had a cold since the day after Xmas, and it still hasn’t shifted fully.

I was supposed to be going to a New Year’s Party as Spot, but I felt sooo bad yesterday, I decided that it wouldn’t be fair on those at the party to have to look after an ill puppy too. Also I wouldn’t have been able to relax and unwind and become Spot as I’d have been coughing and snivelling all night …

However, what it has meant is that by taking it easy last night I actually feel a load better today!

Sorry to disappoint, but health comes first (even I have to remind myself that at times!)
