Teasers from the Trafalgar walkabout … I’ll put the full set onto Flickr ASAP, now that I’ve got all the pictures collated together
Updates now that I’m back from ‘holiday’
Well, since the last posts, the Paws haven’t yet arrived 🙁
Now that that’s out the way I shall back track to the post prior and update you all on the events that I had planned 🙂
Saturday the 24th July, there was a “Morph Meet” at Trafalgar Square, which I’ll be honest … was disappointing … On the Zentai walkabouts we normally only get 2 or 3 people to come join us, but it’s a good laugh and semi has a purpose … however on the “Morph Meet” there were 6 (or 7) of us … which is great for numbers, but there seemed no purpose, no true organisation and the atmosphere in general was well … meh, naff!!!
Ok, yes I should be grateful for the hour and a half outside with other sort of like minded people, but I didn’t come away with the same sense of achievement as I would normally.
There was another person who came along who (And please correct if I’m speaking out of turn) but I get the feeling he went away some what disappointed too… Like myself, we are not there to cause trouble, and equally he seemed to be concerned at the rest of the groups attitude.
Never mind; It was a few hours outside in Spot and it wasn’t raining 🙂
That evening we had a party to go to, and after arriving, setting up the party lights I changed and became Spot for the evening 🙂
Not quite sure if it was general tiredness or just due to disappointment earlier in the day, but I didn’t seem to be my normal playful puppy self … Yes I was in the pup head space, but just not overly active nor mischievous 🙁 … Though having said that, over all the years I’ve been a pup, this is the first time I can truly say I wasn’t quite myself … I ended up curling up to sleep an hour or so before the rest, fully hooded, paws and in the Zentai (tbh, I wasn’t even aware that I’d fallen asleep early until I got told in the morning!)
Unfortunately, after breakfast and then tidying up the lights, I had to head to work … never mind 🙂 It was a day and night out as Spot, even if I couldn’t fully commit and drop into the head space and be playful and silly.
Friday the 30th was the Hackney wicked outing … nervous ish and knowing it was a fair was to travel on the tube/overground to get there I wasn’t sure … still I went and did it … and glad I did 🙂
On arrival, stood outside was a recognisable purple snake zentai-ist: “Pippin” so after saying a very quick “Hi” I went off and got changed 🙂
Meandering around looking at the art and generally making people smile, as a group of 3 (since when I had first arrived I had not registered the purple zentai-ist) we headed outside to just cool of in the evening.
The purple zentai-ist decided he wanted a change and so came back a while later in a leopard (?) zentai and we just chatted and enjoyed the night.
There was a film crew (well, a few more than one and quite a few photographers who during the night chatted to us and took pictures) but the one specifically asked if we wouldn’t mind an interview … well by the way I was stood in the middle and Pippin and MWP (being the leopard zentai) looked at me I ended up being nominated by virtue of the looks … Well, a quick interview later we carried on with the night.
About 9:30 ish Pippin and I left. MWP had left about 15 mins earlier.
Since then until now I’ve been away hence the late blogging about this and appologies that I wasn’t at heros (first one missed in AGES!!!!!), but I have seen the interview that was asked of us, and yes it had been cut very short and equally at the end of the rest of the film clip but still, we’re there and we made it to the final cut 🙂
Have a watch at: hackney wicked video clip
*Wags Tail* … Shall get some pics up from the last few outings hopefully this evening or tomorrow … *Nuzzles*
Today I met up with iZentai again, for some random wanderings around on the Millennium bridge and the Tate Modern.
After doing the morning at work, I got changed and headed to the tube station, where after getting the car park ticket, I de-clothed and only had the zentai on… Put on my dog harness (After much huffing and puffing and starting to get very cross). Tucked my oyster cad inside my right hand of the Zentai … hood up and off I went to get the tube.
Hmm, this was the first time I’d been on the tube on my own in Zentai, with nobody to be there as the ‘safety net’. Yes, I was very nervous (somewhat scared) but found an empty carriage, got on and waited.
It’s strange, people are very aware of this random ‘thing’ on the tube, but don’t seem to be too worried. A couple of pictures were taken as I headed to St. Pauls on the tube.
Once at St. Pauls, I dis-embarked the tube network; again, somewhat unsure of myself and others, but no hassle was given.
I find it odd that there is this mind set of being scared of the un-usual, yet when confronted with it, most people ignore it and don’t even raise an eyebrow.
Off I headed to meet iZentai trying hard to navigate and read the pedestrian sign posts on how to get to St. Pauls Cathedral. You don’t appreciate how well you see until you loose a fair amount of clarity through the zentai. Black is easier to see through than white, and you guessed it: one eye had white over it, and the other eye had a black spot just offset to the left, so to read things I had to almost look past the object to my right. Still, I got to the meeting point, and … no-one … “Gulp” … check the phone: ah, message, phew … they were no more than 100m away on the other side of the road.
Found them, said our hellos and then wandered towards the millennium bridge.
The photographer that iZentai knows, was having great fun in posing us to make some really cool shots (looking forward to seeing those). Off over the millennium bridge to the other side where we took a few more pictures, and the children commented that “The Dog’s not very good” … well, I was doing as told, sit to the side, and iZentai was doing hand stands/handstands/sort of moves … ah well, it brought them enjoyment and that’s what we are there for.
Into the Tate Modern we go, where we don’t get more than a few paces into the Turbine hall when the security stop us … ask a load of questions, we ask to see the duty manager and end up with an even more random conversation… Though I think (as I headed off to find a tree as dogs do 🙂 ) but to do that I had to de-hood… on my return iZentai and the photographer were waiting at info desk to talk to the real Duty Manager. Who, on arrival, couldn’t have been nicer. She was happy for us to spend time there, just don’t perform as actors there. She sort of did give us a curfew to work to of 3.30pm and that gave us an hour and a half to wander round. So with the entry glitch sorted, off we head to find some interesting random places to take pictures (Not in the galleries as you’re not allowed to). One fantastic moment we found was on one of the walls at about chest height was in very big letters “Fetish” … well it was too conveniant, so a few pictures were taken there allong with many others around the public areas of the museum.
Time just seemed to run away… we get to the top floor café and have a coffee; yet again, Spot has to de-hood 🙁 as coffee stains round the mouth of the zentai would be un-appealing.
After a nice chat in the café and we realise time is getting just after 4pm. So hoods up, and we headed off to leave, not stopping on the way, since it would be unfair to push our luck and out-stay our welcome.
Outside it was cold and damp, but not raining (seems we got away with it). Back through to the tube and a good bye at the escalators since iZentai and the photographer were going East, I was going West. Homeward bound in the beginning of the rush hour on the tube … fun, but some what scary again as I’m on my own!
Glad I went out for the day, and really looking forward to another random meet up and wander (bring on the nicer weather so it can be outside for longer)
Looking forward to seeing the pictures from today 🙂
I’ll own up here as a last point, I’m not sure how well I model, I know I’m very rigid to start, takes me a while to relax … but I hope I was a help, and not a hindrance????
Once iZentai has written her post I’ll link to it so you can read her perspective on the day 🙂
*Wags tail* Happy Spot will sleep soundly tonight *Waves Paw*
*Woofs*
Some pictures from Sunday’s outing, iZentai looks as if she’s been “photoshopped” out of most the pictures, BUT I assure you she is in them look hard in picture 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 and picture 9… some iZentai is more visable than others.
Have to be honest what a cool effect though *wags tail*
Oh, and I genuinely had no idea there were people using the touch info point at Westfields when I ‘hid’ inside the cube. *Ears down, sorry*
iZentai’s perspective of our day out
Have a read of iZentai’s perspective on our day out … It’s so interesting reading someone elses blog, as they pick up on things you forget. Also as they see it (if that’s the right way of saying it) from a different angle they see the things that happen outside of your own vision field.
Such as the comment (sorry I’m going quote this because I find it so cute too):
“On the way, there was a bit of a pitstop for Spot, and as he walked down to where the toilets were, this one kid ran to the entrance of the hall pointing at Spot going, “Bye bye doggie!!…bye bye doggie…bye bye doggie” I was standing right next to him and he genuinely was saying bye. Then as his dad came round to see what he was talking to and the kid turned around to him saying, “the doggie’s gone!” with a sad face.
That’s got to be the cutest thing I’ve seen in a while 🙂”
*Wags tail with happyness*
It’s moments like this that brings EVERYONE a smile, including Spot.
